Vivian Grace Ensley, 85, Holden, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

She was born January 23, 1927 in Quincy, California the daughter of Ernest Frederick and Grace Frances (Daugherty) Ensley.

Most of her life was lived in Holden. She graduated from Holden High School, attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UCM in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Vivian taught briefly in the Holden Public Schools, served as a librarian in California, taught fifth grade in Raytown many years, and served as librarian at the Holden Public Library.

She leaves one brother, Kenneth Ensley, Kansas City, KS; two nephews, Kenneth William Slayor, Chilhowee, MO, and Marco Antonio Ponce, Kansas City, KS; one grand-nephew; and two grand-nieces.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES AND BURIAL – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Mineral Creek Cemetery, Leeton, MO, under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, MO
