Glenda Joyce Bishop Erwin, 78, of Gardendale, formerly of Tarrnat, died Friday, May 13, 2011.

She was born and raised in New Albany.
She was a Longtime Member of Springdale Baptist Church.
Joyce worked for many years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Jack Nolan and Dr. William Crandall, who both became her Dear Friends; as well as, Employers.
She was Loved by all who knew her and will be Missed Dearly.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with Rev. Tim Tidwell and Rev. Winston McNeil officiating.
Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
Ridout's Gardendale is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her Dear and Loving usband of 55 years, John Milton Erwin Sr.; her Son, John Milton "Butch" Erwin Jr. and Wife, Teresa; Grandchildren she Loved and Adored so very much, John Spencer, William Clinton and Julianne; her Sisters, Grace Martin and Dorothy Goforth, both of Tupelo; her Loving Niece, JoAnn Tatum; her Dear and Lifelong Best Friends, Edward and Barbara Sims; and a host of loving Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Varah Faster Bishop; Brothers, Lamar Bishop and Wayne Bishop; and Sisters, Nell Bishop, Alene Shettles and Maxine Dye.

Pallbearers will be Spencer and Clinton Erwin, Ray Goforth, Larry Treadaway, David Dye and Ronnie Erwin.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Funeral Home.
