Mrs. Jake Abma, 78, of Rock Valley died Monday in a hospital in Rock Valley after a long illness.
Services were Friday, October 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. Rev. Edward Knott officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mrs. Abma, the former Dora Faber, was born July 10, 1904, in Sioux County.
She married Jake Abma Feb. 25, 1926, in Rock Valley.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Edwin of Holland, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Marlene) De Yager of Steen, Minn.; seven sisters, Mrs. Howard (Anna) Vogel of Jenison, Mich., Mrs. Jim (Gerta) Wyatt of Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. Richard (Winnie) Holsted, Mrs. Albert (Sue) Draayer and Mrs. Leo (Irene) Menzel, all of Artesia, Calif., Mrs. Clifford (Janet) Heskett of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Mrs. John (Jean) Hop of Camarillo, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
