Born on December 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie Livingston Faulds.
Eleanor was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School in 1945 and was a homemaker.
Eleanor was a lifelong member of the Amsterdam United Methodist Church.
Eleanor was married to John J Allen Jr., on June 28, 1946. He passed away November 11, 2003.
Eleanor is survived by three sons, Richard Allen (Dawn), John “Jack” Allen III (Jean) all of Amsterdam, and Mark Allen (Regina) of Mountain Top, PA; one daughter, Lynn Besser (Randy) of Fayetteville, NC; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eleanor was also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Faulds and her sister, Ethel Savoie.
Cremation was held at Park View Crematorium.
Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY.
