Peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, of Mrs. Sylvia M. Collings (nee Feehan) of Mount Stewart, age 76 years.
Beloved wife of the late Frederick (Fred) Collings and much loved mother of James, Brian, Judy (Brian) Stewart, Alan (Ginette Mercille), Susan (Percy) Curran, Tommy (Karen), Michael (Michelle), and Christopher (Jacinta).
Also survived by 15 loving grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Heikamp, Linda (Clarence) Murphy; brothers, Jim (Hazel) Feehan, Tom (Mary) Picone; sisters-in-law, Donna Collings and Tina Banville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Adrian and Jean Feehan; father and mother-in-law, James and Emeline Collings; sister, Aletha Picone; and niece, Tammy Heikamp.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:15 on Saturday afternoon, then transferred to St. Andrew's Church, Mount Stewart, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
If so desired, memorial contributions in Sylvia's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home.
