Juanita Ferrer Cano, age 61, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born in Corsicana on March 8, 1955. Juanita graduated from Blooming Grove High School in 1973 and then graduated from Navarro College with an Associate's Degree. Her residence was in Killeen, TX for 15 years. Juanita was active in keeping her community safe by participating in Crime Stoppers in the city of Killeen. She also participated in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and was a member of LULAC Council 4535. She worked at Gentle Touch Dentistry for over ten years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Sendejo Ferrer; and brother, Baldomaro Ferrer, Jr. Juanita is survived by her father Baldomaro Ferrer Sr. of Blooming Grove, TX, two sons, Andres Ferrer Cano (Esmeralda) of San Antonio, TX and Jason Ferrer Cano (Dina) of Tampa Bay, FL; daughter, Ashley Ferrer Cano of Round Rock, TX; father of children, Amador Lopez Cano, Jr. of Canyon Lake, TX; four grandchildren, Ryan Cano, Madilynn Cano, Annalise Cano and Alejandro Cano; siblings Lucy Meneimneh of Arlington, TX, Daniel Ferrer of Rice, TX, Delia DelaRosa of Corsicana, TX, Ernesto Ferrer of Purdon, TX, Amanda De La Cruz of San Antonio, TX.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
