Nellie Rae Arnold
Nellie Rae Arnold of Greenbrae, a 47-year resident of Marin, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1987, at The Tamalpais retirement residence in San Rafael. She was 89.
Mrs. Arnold was a native of Appleton, Ill. She lived part of her life in Reading, Kan., and moved to Marin from there in 1940. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael and the Eastern Star San Rafael Chapter No. 215.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, George Turner Arnold, a 60-year resident of Marin.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Rae Thiel of Montrose, of Colo.; four brothers, Frank W. Fields of Phoenix, Ariz., J. Russell Fields of Wells, Nev., K. Lewis Fields of Sterling, Alaska, and C. Eugene Fields of Fremont; a sister, Mildred Nixon of Belmont; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo. Burial will take place at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
Friends may call for visitation at the mortuary from 2-5 p.m. Thursday. The family prefers memorial gifts to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, c/o Nellie Rae Arnold, 1510 Fifth Ave., San

NOTE: Barbara Lue Hyde that is buried with Nellie/George is Nellie's daughter from her marriage to Leo Dodd Hyde. Leo is buried in the Reading Cemetery, Lyon, KS.
