Pearl Finnegan Athoules was born in New Brighton, Beaver County PA, the daughter of James T. and Emma Anderson Finnegan. Pearl married Harry Athonles** in Cuyahoga County, OH in December 9, 1920. The couple had two children, a daughter Hazel and a son Harry.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 8 1924, Pearl died at New Castle Hospital following surgery. She was 31 years old and had been married a little over 3 years. Survivors included her husband and two children; her father James Finnegan; and two brothers, James Raymond Finnegan and Fred Finnegan.

**NOTE: On the grave stone and in the newspaper obit, death certificate, marriage records and other documents examined, the family name is spelled in difference ways: Athonles, Athanles, Athoulas, Athoules and Athoulis.
