Mr. Anselm O. Fitzgerald of Comeau's Hill died Tuesday December 14th at the age of 95. Other than his wife, Mary, he leaves six children: Mrs. Charles Scott, Sarah, of Plymouth; Edgar, of Haverhill, Mass; Mrs. Harold Newell, Loretta, with whom he lived; Anthony at home; Mrs. Clarence LeBlanc, Evelyn, of West Pubnico; Mrs. Gerald Surette, Josephine, of Yarmouth; an adopted son, Gerald, of Yarmouth; a sister, Mrs. Albert Clairmont, Elizabeth, of Comeau's Hill. He was grandfather of 16 children and great-grandchildren of 34. Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald were married for 65 years. The funeral was held at Comeau's Hill. Rev. Father Adolphe LeBlanc officiated, assisted by Rev. Father Leo Maillet. The pallbearers were six grandsons of the deceased: John Hattie, Brian, Edgar and Gerry Newell, Clarence and Ronnie Fitzgerald.
