FITZGERALD, Anthony Joseph "Tony" - 75, Tidal View Manor, Yarmouth, formerly of Surette's Island, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in the manor. Born November 25, 1931, in Surette's Island, he was a son of the late Pierre E. and Rose Helene (Doucet) Fitzgerald. Surviving are brother, Leonard Fitzgerald, Hubbard's Point; sisters, Marie King, Villa St. Joseph, Dayton; Evelyn Doucette, Hubbard's Point; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred, Clovis and Bernie Fitzgerald; sisters, Flora Belliveau and Lorraine LeBlanc. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. today, with prayers at 8 p.m., both in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Surette's Island, Father Crepin Khonde officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to Tidal View Manor.
