Born in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Francis J. and Eleanor C. (Andersen) Fitzgibbon, she moved to Vineland with her parents when her father was assigned to Millville Air Base during WWII.
Prior to retirement, Lorraine was employed by Ebner Dairies, Frank's Jewelry and Littman Jewelers. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Agnes Altar Guild and vestry. She was past president of the Vineland Woman's Club, member of Red Cross Motor Corp. and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of several doll clubs. She enjoyed crafts and reading.
She was predeceased by her husband Cortland T. Brown Sr. in 2003 and three brothers.
Survivors include her two sons, Philip F. Brown and his wife Marcie and Cortland "Bud" T. Brown II and his wife Pamela; daughter, Deborah E. Hanson and her husband Thomas; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services from the Trinity Episcopal Church 800 Wood Street Vineland with Rev. Ellen Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Arrangements are under the care of the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland.
