Services for Margaret K. Bielefeldt, 77, Rock Island, are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church, Rock Island, where she was a member. Entombment is in Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a wake service at 7. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice.
Mr. Bielefeldt died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at home. She was a beloved wife, mother and friend who will always remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Margaret K. Fitzgibbon was born to James and Gertrude Schikan Fitzgibbon in Rock Island on May 28, 1920. She married James M. Bielefeldt June 1, 1946, in Rock Island.
In earlier years she had been employed by Modern Woodmen of America, the former St. Anthony's Hospital and by Petersen Harned Von Maur. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family and will be remembered for her sense of humor and many kindnesses to those she loved.
She was an Eucharistic minister and a member of Circle 4 of the Altar and Rosary Society at the church.
She is survived by her husband; daughters and a son-in-law, Angela Fellman, and Mary K. and paul Naslund; sons and a daughter-in-law, John Bielefeldt, and James and Honda Bielefeldt; grandsons, Sean and Joel Bielefeldt, Erik Naslund, Nicolas Sprague; a granddaughter, Andrea Naslund; sisters, Irene VanderVennet, Moline, and Sister Angela Fitzgibbon, D.C., Evansville, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Betty Fitzgibbon, Rock Island, and Phyllis Fitzgibbon, Burlington, Iowa; cousins, Betty Shuda and Phyllis Ruch, Rock Island; as well as numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dr. John Fitzgibbon and James Fitzgibbon, and a sister, Marie Beiser.
