Gertrude Fisher, Clifty Road, Somerset, died Wednesday, April 1, 1998, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was 81.

Born March 13, 1917, in Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Pearl Fitzpatrick. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Fisher; a son, Jimmy (and Cheryl) Fisher, Somerset; two daughters, Doris Ann (and Eddie) Edwards and Sheila (and Rocky) Farmer, both of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Suzanne (and Alan) Strunk, Lexington, Amy (and Steve) Parrott, Marylee (and Greg) Gover, Leanne (and Mike) Blount, Ricky Farmer, and Misty Farmer, all of Somerset, and Andy (and Robin) Fisher, Louisville; and eight great-grandchildren, Ingrid, Wesley, and Clark Strunk, all of Lexington, Joshua and Ashley Parrott, Morgan and Taylor Gover, and Kelli Blount, all of Somerset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Norfleet and Willie Fitzpatrick.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry O'Bryan and C.E. Jacobs officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
