Carmen Fonseca Armesto passed away at the age of 82, on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 surrounding by her loving family in her home in Austin, Texas. Carmen was born in Tynan, Texas, August 8, 1925. She married Angel Armesto, Sr. June 30, 1954, who preceded her in death along with two children, two sisters, and parents, Jose and Salud Fonseca.

She leaves behind four children, Guadalupe, Mary and Angel Armesto, Jr. of Austin, Texas and Janey Armesto of Sinton, Texas; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Nicholas Balderaz and one great grandchild, Ariana Balderaz, all of Austin, Texas.

Public visitation and a rosary service were held on July 18th at Colonial Funeral Home, Taft, TX. A funeral mass was celebrated on July 19th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sinton, Texas. Burial followed in Sinton, Texas at the Eternal Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road Suite 100, Austin Texas 78759.
