Kathryn Foote, 82, passed away May 15, 2009, after a long illness. In her final days she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Kathryn was born on November 2, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa. She and her husband settled in Memphis after his long military career. Kathryn had a long career in the jewelry business in Memphis. She was also a member of St. Anne Church on Highland. Kathryn will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and her family. Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Howard Vallery Foote. She is survived by her 4 children: Pam Key of Memphis, Charlene Edwards of Bartlett, Terry Foote of Columbus, IN, Debra Simmons of Dallas, and their spouses; Donnis Edwards, Danny Key, and Lynn Foote. She also leaves her grandchildren; Kevin Edwards, Stephen Morris, Andrea Fletcher, Lisa Williams, Catherine Morris Cotton, Howard Foote, Michael Morris, Diana Foote, Adam Simmons and Andy Simmons, and 11 great-grandchildren. They will all remember her affectionately; her sense of humor, broad smile and the ever present twinkle in her eye. Visitation will be Monday, May 18, at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel from 5-8 pm. with a rosary service beginning at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 19 at 10 am. at St. Anne Church on Highland.
