Majel I. Blaha, 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral services for Majel will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 17th at 1 p.m. with Jeff Gritton officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Majel was born on July 12, 1923 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Mae (Howell) Ford. Majel married Ernest Blaha on September 20, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was a homemaker who loved bingo and crocheting. She was also a member of the Rosebush Garden Club and the Friends of the Library.
Majel is survived by her children, Juanita (Maynard) Coudret of Clare, Ernest Leroy (Janice) Blaha of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Karen "Jeanie" Blaha of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Henry Ford of Springfield, Missouri.
Majel was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; son, Ron Blaha; two brothers; and one sister.
