Mrs. Madge C. Baughman died Friday afternoon January 18, 2013. Madge was born October 5, 1911 in Fulton, Michigan a daughter of Van Every and Sarah (Strong) Ford. She was a graduate of Scotts High School in 1930; and Argubright Business College in 1932. Madge had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Upjohn Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1971. She loved her family, nature, playing cribbage, flowers, horses, and model T Ford's. Madge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clare R. Baughman on September 9, 2006; two brothers, Clarence and Paul Ford; two sisters, Garnett Weinberg and Florence Shelley; She is survived by a son, Karol (Marjorie) Baughman of Climax; two grandsons, Steve Baughman of Climax and Larry (Dawn) Baughman of Vicksburg; eight great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several special friends. Services will be held 1 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel. 145 West Battle Creek St. Visitation will be 4-7pm Wednesday. Interment will be in Boughton Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Borgess Visiting Nurse Association.
