Mickie Frank was born in Comanche, Oklahoma and passed away after a sudden massive stroke. Mickie was a resident of Madera, California, for 60 years, and during that time was active in the VFW Auxiliary, as a volunteer at Madera Community Hospital, and as a member of the Realtor's Association.

In addition to her volunteer work, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Mickie had a strong faith and enjoyed attending church regularly. As a basketball player in her younger years, she had an appreciation for the sport throughout her life. Mickie had a true sense of adventure and loved to travel. For the last four years, she was an active resident and friend to many at Yosemite Gardens Retirement Community.

For over twenty-five years, Mickie worked for the Social Services Department of Welfare, where she received Employee of the Year. She was also a licensed Real Estate Agent who was well respected in the Madera Community.

Mickie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is preceded in death by Arthur G. Frank, her husband of 58 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Nix and her husband Larry, Katie Arnold and her husband Greg, and Maribeth Horton and her husband Paul. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Monica Spear, Craig and Judi Gerbi, Nicole and Kevin Frost, Brandon and Heather Bard, Aaron and Janell Nix, Amy and James Lopez; extended family grandchildren, Dana and Milt Poore and Darcy and Dr. Mark Kinnersley; and 11 great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members include her sister, Betty Damron; and numerous relatives in Oklahoma and Texas.

In honoring Mickie's wishes, immediate family will join together for a private service and burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice, 1616 West Shaw Avenue, Fresno, Ca., 93711.
