She was a widely respected Bible teacher for well over 60 years and took great joy in intercessory prayer for the hundreds of friends she taught, as well as for all of her family members. She was an extremely generous person to everyone in need and cared deeply for the oppressed. She actively served in professional dental organizations and Gideons International, both with her late husband of 50 years, Dr. Thomas H. Armstrong (1912-1986). She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Thomas W. Armstrong and wife Nora Anne of Huntsville, and Dr. John H. Armstrong and wife Anita of Carol Stream, Ill. She was cherished as "Mamame" to her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
