"Mrs. Grace Witt French, aged 83, widow of Harry G. French, died early Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Russell French, in Schenevus. She had been making her home there the past four years. Mrs. French was born September 15, 1872 in Schenevus, the daughter of George and Calista Witt. She was married to Harry G. French on October 9, 1895. He died April 12, 1953. She was a member of Schenevus Methodist Church, Elk Creek Grange, and the WSCS of the church. She is survived by two sons, Russell and Lewis, Schenevus; five grandchildren; Richard French, U. S. Navy, Bainbridge, Md.; Mrs. Gerald Russell, Westford; Jerry Wayne and Gilbert French, Schenevus; and three great-grandchildren, James, Nancy, and Bruce Russell, Westford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Potter Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Lynn H. Brown, pastor of the Schenevus Methodist Church, officiating.
