Carolyn Lucy Cutler

     TWIN FALLS — Carolyn Lucy Cutler, 87, of Twin Falls, died at her home Saturday, Sept. 5, 1987, after an extended illness.

     She was born March 20, 1900, in Hunter, Utah. She married Nelvin Cutler on April 4, 1917, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in Pocatello until 1936 when they moved to Twin Falls. Mr. Cutler died in February, 1986. She was active in music throughout her life, serving as the ward and stake organist for the LDS Church for many years. She also taught music at Carey and was a member of the 20th Century Club and the Hospital Guild.

     Surviving are two daughters, Norma Burgner Sternke of Burlington, Wash. and Ruth Skeem of Twin Falls, and three grandchildren, Soni Lee Taiz of Santa Cruz, Calif., Dr. C. Stephen Burgner of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Dr. Randall Skeem of Twin Falls, and one step-grandson, Bruce Sternke of Boise; four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

     In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and three sisters.

     The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the White Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Dale Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park.
