Arthur Funk, 47, died in his home, 419 Jersey avenue, Gloucester, Sunday night after an illness of six months. He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Gloucester 28 years. He was a partner in the operation of Funk's Cafe, 4th st. and Jersey avenue, Gloucester.
In the 1920's he was active in football in Gloucester and played with the Fairhill Athletic Association and the Gloucester Tigers.
Survived by his widow, May, a daughter, Mrs. May Cunningham, Gloucester; a brother, George, Gloucester, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Etherington Funeral Home, 700 Powell st., Gloucester, where friends may call Thursday night. Burial will be in Harleigh Cemetery.
