Jessie Gabbard Allen, 80, of 1023 W. Main St., Vevay, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at the Swiss Villa Living Center in that city.

She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Paris, the daughter of Greene and Olga Warner Gabbard. In her early life she was a dice girl for a Chicago gaming company for several years. She moved to Madison in 1969, then to the Swiss Villa in October 2003.

Surviving are one brother, John Gabbard of Paris; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Allen; one sister, Ellen Williams; one infant brother; and one nephew.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay, with burial in the Vevay Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of the service Monday, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Swiss Villa Living Center.
