Ethel M. Adams, 91, formerly of St. Lawrence, passed away Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, in Symphony Square, Bala Cynwyd.
She was the loving wife of James I. Adams, who passed away 11/22/05. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Nora (Hagenman) Gable.
Ethel was a Charter Member of Community U.C.C. of St. Lawrence where she served on its Consistory as a deacon. She also was president of Woman's Ministries. She also served as President of the St. Lawrence Woman's Club and was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.
Ethel is survived by one son, William R. Adams, of Philadelphia.
Ethel was predeceased by a son, James R., and siblings: Dr. Joseph E. Gable, Robert W. Gable and June A. Lutz.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, March 28th, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Community U.C.C., 3330 St. Lawrence Ave., Reading PA 19606. Interment in Schwarzwald Cemetery, Jacksonwald. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Penn, is in charge of arrangements.
