Maria Carlota V. Allen, 83, passed away peacefully, March 30, 2014, with her family at her side. Maria Carlota V. Allen She was also known as Charlotte Maria to friends. She was born in San Miguel, N.M., to the union of Pablo and Endelecia (Quintana) Gallegos; both preceded her in death; along with her only daughter, Elaine Garcia; husbands, John Garcia, Louie Romero and Garland Allen; brothers, Benny, Tony and Philemon Gallegos. Carlota worked as an RN for over 20 years. She loved to sing, as well as play the guitar with her family on many occasions. She loved her family time with her grandson and great-grandchildren. She adored her cat and dogs. Family would like to thank Amanda and Cindy and all the staff of Innovage for taking care of her the last two years. Carlota is survived by her loving grandson, Phil John (Rena) Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Marissa Romero, Miguel Gonzales, Ambrosio Gonzales and Abram Gonzales; other relatives and friends, who will truly miss her. Rosary, 6 p.m Friday, Angelus Chapel. At her request, cremation.
