Pat was born on May 9, 1931 in Woodward Iowa to Elden Clifford and Mildred Rachael Bice. Pat had worked at Look Magazine before she was employed with Travelers Insurance for 25 years, in southern California. She had traveled extensively to China, England, Ireland, and Africa and all over the United States. Although living in Southern California, Pat never missed an event involving her grandchildren in Texas. When not attending family events in Texas, She loved to bowl, dog-sit for her many friends, produced many cross-stitch works of art and was an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan. Pat was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Linda Head and her husband, Lawrence of Denton, TX; six grandchildren: Amber Bearden and her husband, Chad, Scott Kramer and his wife, Stephanie, Bryan Head and his wife, Sarah, Rebecca Head, Trevor Head a student at Dallas Baptist University and Spencer Head a student at West Texas A&M University; one sister, Florence Sweeny of Granger, IA; one brother, Gerald Bice of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews; and a host of many friends who at this moment are shaking their heads in disbelief that she is gone. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Harry, Robert, Glenn and Francis; and three sisters, Betty, Hallie and Madia.
A memorial fund has been established.
