Federico Carrasco Garcia, 88, passed away on February 3, 2016 at home, in Visalia CA. He was born on February 28, 1927 in Texas, to Luciano and Tecla Garcia.
Federico married Consuelo Dominguez in 1947. They were happily married for 68 years.
Federico is survived by spouse Consuelo, 5 children; 19 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; his siblings, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Federico was preceded in death by his parents Luciano and Tecla Garcia, siblings Adan Garcia, Delfina Macias, Manuel Garcia, Benita Chacon, Alvaro Garcia and his beloved son Hector Garcia.
Federico was a true Cowboy/Vaquero, working on horseback at various Cattle Ranches and Feedlots in Texas and California. Federico was a happy go lucky Catholic man. He loved life and his family. Federico is a WWII Veteran, a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, member of the Guadalupana Society and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family.
He will be greatly missed but will always remain in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3 - 6 p.m. with praying of the rosary at Millers Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street in Visalia on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the Visalia Cemetery.
