Abel was called home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2016. He was born July 17, 1940, in Artesia, New Mexico and raised in Visalia, California.
Abel was preceded by his father, Joaquin Garcia; mother, Bertha Garcia; and brothers, Ambrosio Garcia and Gabriel Garcia.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria L. Garcia; siblings, Eloy Garcia and Anita Aguilar; children, Joaquin Garcia, Patricia Rocco, Daniel Salas, Abel "Ebbie" Garcia; and ten grandchildren.
Many will remember Abel for having a giving heart. He always had a servant's heart and was the epitome of unconditional love. He was notorious for silly jokes, an incredible work ethic, and a great sense of style. He will be greatly missed and remembered forever.
Viewing will begin on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 8:00 am. A Celebration of Life will commence at 11:00 am, both will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W Goshen Ave Visalia, CA 93291. Burial will be at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291 immediately following the services.
