Lonnie Garcia passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. He was 61.

He was born to Seferino and Avelina on December 30, 1955. He was a lifelong resident of Visalia. Lonnie enjoyed listening to music and barbequing with his brothers.

Lonnie is survived by his son Juan (Victoria), granddaughters Rachel, Leanna, and Avelina, all of Tulare, along with stepsons Kyle, Tim, and Andrew Nelson. He is also survived by three brothers; Joe (Pat) and Jerry (Lydia) of Visalia, and Paul (Amanda) of Woodlake. He had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Jr. "Chetes", his wife Brenda, his parents Seferino and Avelina, and brothers Rick and Larry.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel from 4-6pm, with a Rosary following at 6pm. Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Visalia at 10am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, followed by his burial at the Visalia Cemetery.
