Benito Gonzales Garcia, Sr of Goshen passed away on January 30, 2016 in Tulare, Ca. Benito was born to Natalia Gonzales on August 15, 1936 in Loving, New Mexico where he was raised and spoiled by his grandparents. He was later blessed with a step-father when his mother married Faustino Garcia. In 1948 the family moved to Goshen, Ca. where they settled, but worked in many crop fields around the valley. Benito joined the U.S. Air force in 1955, and trained as a welder, which became his lifetime career. He was later stationed in Japan. He completed his reserve service of obligation in 1963, and was honorably discharged. He married his sweetheart Alice Papion on December 30, 1960, and together they raised 3 children. They later adopted a fourth child. He was a little league coach for many years, and loved Rawhide baseball, and COS Giants football games on Friday nights. He also loved to sing, and Yodel. Benito was employed by Pacific Canopy and Tarp in Visalia . He retired in 1998. He then became a supportive stay at home spouse while Alice continued to work full time. Benito loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in Goshen for over 40 years.

Benito is survived by Alice, his loving wife of 55 years. His mother, Natalia Garcia of Goshen. His 2 uncles, Domingo Gonzalez(Paula Gonzalez), and Manuel Gonzalez of Visalia. He is also survived by his children Dave Garcia, Corrina Mc Enaney(Joseph Mc Enaney), Benny Patrick of Goshen, and Sondra Garcia of Visalia. His 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Michael, Alyssa, Adam Josiah and Frankie whom he love, and adored , and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Faustino Garcia.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel in Visalia. A church service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church 7210 Ave. 308 in Goshen. Burial will follow at Visalia Public Cemetery. Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Visalia is honored to be serving the Garcia family.
