Excerpt -- Thanksgiving Dat, 1913, was the sadest day ever known in the lives of Robert Kay Garner and his wife, Mrs. Mattie Brown Garner. On that day their little daughter, Beulah Velva, was buried at the home farm on Walnut Hill. Two days before she was alive and the very picture of health. membranous croup attacked her on Tuesday, developing in its worst form, and at 4 o'clock Wednesday evening she died. Little Beulah was their second daughter and the darling of the household, being a sweet and lovely child. She was two years and six months old. The funeral was conducted by L. Hartman, with services at the house in Tunnelton and at the grave on Walnut Hill by Rev. Charles Brown.
