Rosalie Mae Garner Ellis, 93, of Hurricane passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at home.
Born May 1, 1922 in Colorado, she was a daughter of the late John and Arlene Garner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55+ years Homer Ellis; daughter Judith Scarberry; and brothers, Tom Garner, George Garner and Charles Garner.
Rosalie attended Mount Tabor Church of God, Saint Albans and was completely devoted to her family. She also supported her country as a Rosie Riveter. Rosalie was a member of the Hansford Senior Center in St. Albans.
Surviving are her children, Charles (Judy) Ellis of Decatorville, TN, David Ellis of St. Albans, Douglas (Robin) of St. Albans, and Clyde (Connie) Ellis of Hurricane; sister Virginia Garner; brothers Roy Garner of Phoenix, AZ, Fred Garner of Phoenix, AZ, and Bob Garner of Phoenix, AZ; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Pastor Harold Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery, St. Albans. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
