Frances Garrard was born between about 1765 and 1770, the daughter of John Garrard. By the early 1780s, she lived in Wilkes County Georgia, where she married John Barron about 1786. They moved to Hancock County in 1794, then to Jones County Georgia in 1808. After John Barron's death in 1823, Frances primarily resided with her eldest son, William Barron. She went with him and her sons Henry and Milton into Upson County about 1824. She died there in 1833 or 1834.
