Eileen M. Gaughan Cangany 77, Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2004. Mrs. Cangany was a fourth grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School from Sept. 1982 to June of 1992. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mrs. Cangany was a graduate of both St. Mary's Academy and Marian College, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband John F. (Jack) Cangany. Survivors include children Ann Cangany McCurdy, Mary Cangany, Margi Cangany-Lane, Therese Cangany, Julie C. Schmoll, John Bradley, Patrick and James Cangany; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 5333 E. Washington St., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. If friends desire, the family would appreciate memorials in Mrs. Cangany's memory to Our Lady of Lourdes School. Services have been entrusted to Moore & Kirk Irvington Chapel.
