Buhler -- Christina Augustine, 89, formerly of Ellis, died Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Buhler Sunshine Retirement Home. She was born Sept. 4, 1914 in Hyacinth to Mike and Emma (Younger) Geist.

She married Mike Augustine on Sept. 21, 1937 in Ellis. He died Jan. 23, 1999.

Survivors include seven sons, Gene Augustine, Denison, Texas, Jerry Augustine, Abbyville, La., Glen Augustine, North Glen, Col., Ron Augustine, Pampa, Texas, David Augustine, Hutchinson, Art Augustine, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Galen Augustine, Lenora; a daughter, May Ann Huffman, Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Bill Geist, Ellis; two sisters, Clara Weber and Eva Slaughter, both of Wichita; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to the church.
