Henrietta Gellert Danquer, 79, of 217 1/2 Grand Ave., died Monday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was a life resident of Syracuse and retired in 1960 from the Woolworth Department Store. She was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for the St. Lucy's School library and rectory.
She is survived by two daughters, Lorraine DeForest of Liverpool and Shirley Pirong of Buffalo; a son, Edward of Nedrow; a brother, Henry Gellert; two sisters, Louise Baker of Liverpool and Marcella Fonak; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from Gang Memorial Chapel and 9 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church. Burial is at Assumption Mausoleum.
