Life:
Born on Feb. 12, 1936, daughter of the late Angelo and Giovanna Perfetto Aldi, Carolina was born in Alvignanello, Provinci di Ruviano Caserta, Italy.
She moved to this country in 1962, living in Meadville, PA, then in New Haven.
Carolina then settled in East Haven in 1964, until recently moving to Hamden.
Carolina was a caring and loving person, always with a smile on her face and she loved to sing. She worked various jobs until her last at The Hospital of St. Raphael's for 8 years until her illness.
Family:
Carolina leaves behind her husband, Pietro, of 55 years,
her 3 daughters and sons in law: Teresa and Keith Vignola of Hamden, Joanna and Nicholas Ferraro of East Haven, and Josephine and Jeffrey Brown of Clinton.
Also survived by her loving grandchildren AJ, Lauren, Keith Vignola; Nicole, Marcella and Nicky Ferraro; and Matthew and Gianna Brown. Also survived by her loving and only sister, Pasqualina (Attilio) Lavecchia, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care and kindness she received from the staff at DSI/liberty dialysis of North Haven and the staff at Verdi 3 North at the Hospital of St. Raphaels, as well as the Hospice care received from Vitas.
Calling hours are Sunday 4pm - 7pm at the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and a funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10a.m. at Blessed Sacrament.
Christian entombment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
