COTTAGE GROVE — A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove for Don Charles Gibson of Cottage Grove, who died Aug. 2 of complications related to diabetes. He was 75.
He was born July 22, 1935, in Portland to Charlie and Ruby Rome Gibson. He married Sue Adams on Oct. 25, 1977, in Reno, Nev.
A graduate of Cottage Grove High School, he retired from Weyerhaeuser after 42 years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Brad of Cottage Grove, Craig of Phoenix, Ariz., and Scott of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements are being made by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
