Ruth Mae (Gibson) Catterson
August 20, 1935 - September 30, 2014
Ruth Mae (Gibson) Catterson was with family when she passed peacefully to join the other angels watching over us.
Ruth married Harry L. Catterson in 1951 and raised four children Connie Ralph, Rhonda Nungester, Greg and Jeff, as well as many others who considered her "mom".
Ruth was a nurturer as reflected in her many jobs as a caregiver at nursing homes, a house-mom at Willamette University and a lunch-lady at Richmond Elementary School.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, her best friend "Oscar the wiener dog", and siblings Ethel, Dick and Earl. Ruth is survived by all four children, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and sister, Berneice Corner.
Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Humane Society or the Willamette Valley Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 4.
