Pat Barnes of Cheshire passed away on September 13. Pat was born June 12, 1940 in Geddes, South Dakota to Earl and Edith Gibson.

She worked as a hardwood lumber sales person with Diamond Wood Products for many years. It was eventually purchased by Northwest Hardwoods where she retired after 22 years of service. Pat was the event coordinator for the Outstanding Farmers of America for many years and traveled all over the world with her husband Jerry. She and Jerry loved to fly no matter what the destination. She was known for her gift of hospitality and her love of flowers. She will be greatly missed by many people whom she deeply loved.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Barnes, daughter, Lori Burrows of Newburg and Ranee Werder and husband Tim of Junction City and her step-son, Bryon Barnes and wife Janet, Brad Barnes and wife Elaine and step-daughter Belinda Lewallen and 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by 1 brother, Rod Gibson of Cheshire and 1 sister, Barb Oare of Newburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Ike Gibson and Bill Gibson as well as her son, Grant Nickelson.

Interment at Alford Cemetery.
