Lenore Anderson, 102 years old, passed away at Spring Meadows in St. Helens, Oregon on January 13, 2011.

Lenore was born in Cambridge, Idaho April 13, 1908 to Harry and Eleanor (Nicely) Gibson the youngest of two daughters. She married Floyd Anderson in 1931 at LaGrande, Oregon where they both worked at the LaGrande Evening Observer.

In 1945 the Andersons moved to Burlington, Oregon where they operated the Burlington store for 3 years. They then moved to Scappoose in 1948 where they lived for 22 years. Lenore worked in the Scappoose Congregational Church office for many years during the 1950's and 1960's. Later in 1970, Floyd and Lenore moved to Warren, Oregon.

Lenore was a homemaker most of her life and was also a terrific gardener and wonderful cook. She will be missed very much by her friends and family.
Lenore was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy, age 5 in 1950, her husband Floyd in 1982 and her sister Frieda.

Lenore is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Jolma of Vancouver, Washington and Vickie and her husband Ed Coonts of Prescott, Arizona. Grandchildren; James Strobel of Portland, Patricia Troxel of Scappoose and great grandchildren; Sasha Casswell, Maverick Casswell and Steven Troxel, all of Scappoose.

No services will be held at her request. A private interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Scappoose.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Meadows Assisted Living in St. Helens and Legacy Hospice, for making Lenore's last days peaceful.
