Barbara Sue Bailey, 82, of Clyde died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Terrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. The family will meet prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at Cherry Heights Baptist Church for lunch. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bailey was born September 29, 1932 in Moultrie, Georgia to John and Clara Mae (Bishop) Giles. Her and her family moved to Texas where she attended school in Kermit. Mrs. Bailey married Warren Franklin Bailey August 5, 1952 in Kermit. They moved to Clyde from Crane in 1966 where they remained till the time of her death. She was a homemaker, enjoyed her flowers and fishing. She loved babies, playing Skipbo and 42. She was a member of the Cherry Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband Warren of Clyde; two sons, Stephen Bailey and wife Rene of Center Point and Keith Bailey and wife Lesa of Cisco; one daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Joy and husband Jimmy of Cottonwood; six grandchildren, Amy Sralla and husband Rick, Jill Hill and husband Justin, Cassye Roark and husband Ken, Cullen Green and wife Ashley, Nathan Joy and Megan Pipkin; ten great grandchildren, Aveson and Slaid Sralla, Caden, Addison and Rylee Hill, Kensye, Max and Isaac Roark, Slayde Green and Dagan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charlie and J.B. Thompson, Elmer, Charles and Wayne Giles, her sisters Louise Thompson, Billie Craig, and Nina Fowler.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hendrick Hospice or one’s favorite charity.
