Terry – Hiram R. Gilmore, 79, native Miles Citian and longtime rancher of the Miles City and Terry areas died late Wednesday night of a long-time illness at Prairie Manor in Terry. He was born Sept. 13, 1896 in Miles City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Gilmore. He grew up on his parents’ ranch. He later owned a ranch on the Little Dry north of Miles City, leaving in the 1930’s to be a brand inspector in St. Paul, MN. He later returned to the area where he worked for various ranchers in the Miles City and Terry areas, including Ed Love and for the last ten years of employment with Lee Hubing. He retired to Terry and for the past two years had been in failing health. He was married March 21, 1924, at Miles City, to Francis Marie Bard, who lives in Minneapolis. Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Bard, of Minneapolis, and a daughter, Mrs. Rowena Fuller, of Long Beach, CA.
