SHINNSTON — Bobby R. Glaspell, 72, of B Street, Spelter, died at 7:16 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2006, at his residence.
He was born in Doddridge County, April 28, 1933, a son of the late Curtis Earl and Hazel Swiger Glaspell.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Yvonne Duvall Glaspell, whom he married October 8, 1956; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bill Corley, Doddridge County; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. and Rhonda L. Glaspell, Shinnston; four grandsons, Bobby Corley, Doddridge County, Joshua Corley, Bridgeport, Roger L. Glaspell Jr. and Cody Glaspell, both of Shinnston; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Corley; six brothers, Roy Glaspell and Kenny Glaspell, both of Warren, Ohio, James Glaspell, Spelter, Joe Glaspell, Shinnston, Jack Glaspell and Tommy Glaspell, both of Ravenna, Ohio; four sisters, Vonda Brown, Weston, Georgie Davis, Akron, Ohio, Linda McAtee, East View, Donna McHenry, Gore; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ervin and Becky Duvall, Cleveland, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Robert Harris, and a sister-in-law, Dora Velez, Patterson, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Richard Glaspell Jr., and three brothers-in-law, James, Buddy and Ralph.
Mr. Glaspell had worked as a commercial and residential electrician and had 15 years service with Pittsburgh Plate Glass.
He was a United States Army and Air Force veteran.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, Route 19 south, Shinnston, after 2 p.m. Monday, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 24.
Interment will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
