Jessie M. Beers age 96, of Painted Post died Mon, March 12, 2007 at Founders Pavilion in Corning.

Jessie was born in Campbell, NY on Jan 2, 1911 to Charles and Elizabeth (Cragg) Gleason.

She was the wife of Maynard J. Beers who preceded her in death in 1977.

She was employed by Corning Glass Works as an inspector, and was a member of Coopers Grange and the Campbell-Erwin Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Gale Beers of Painted Post; one son, Kenneth (Nancy) Beers of Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Iva Putman of Campbell; 8 grandchildren, 11 g-grandchildren, 1 g-g-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, and by her son Maynard Dale Beers.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St in Corning with Rev. Tom Bell officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Campbell -Erwin Baptist Church, 10 Meads Creek Rd, PO Box 56R, Coopers Plains, NY 14827.
