Born December 7, 1936, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Miriam Gift Gluck.
She was a 1954 graduate of the former Lemasters High School, Lemasters, Pa. Mrs. Angle assisted her parents in the operation of the family business, Gluck’s Grocery of Markes, Pa. In 1963 she married Harold T. Angle, and together they operated Gluck’s Grocery until his death on November 20, 1973. Following the death of her husband, Carolyn continued to operate the store until 1995. For a number of years she delivered the Public Opinion newspaper in the Markes-Lemasters area. She was last employed, for 15 years, as a driver by Robert E. Friese Transportation Company of Mercersburg.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517 and a former member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of Mercersburg Montgomery Peters and Warren Fire Company, both of Mercersburg; a member of Markes Street Light Association, board member of Spring Grove Cemetery Association, Lemasters; and assistant secretary of Lemasters High School Alumni Association. An active and willing volunteer, she was active with Mercersburg Lions Club Community Fair, and chicken and ham suppers of Edward Parnell Ruritan Club, Lemasters.
She was co-chair of arts and crafts at Franklin County Fair.
Surviving are a son, William H. Angle, and a sister, Jean G. (Mrs. Marvin L.) Beeler, both of Mercersburg; close friends, Ed and Pam Crim of Mercersburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edgar Gluck, who died in 2003.
Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters.
