Mrs. Boyter was born on November 26,1925 in Islandton, South Carolina, daughter of John Leland Godley and Edna Cox Bennett. She retired as the Treasurer of the Citadel with the rank of Major. Surviving are her daughter, Susan Deni Denise Boyter of Charleston, SC; one son, Henry Bud G. Boyter III of Indianapolis, IN; she also leaves behind four grandchildren, Henry Buddy G. Boyter IV, Jennifer M. Boyter, E. Ashlee Richardson and Michaela R. Buttel; and one great grandchild, Dylan H. Richardson.
