The following obituary was published in the South County Journal (Kent, WA) on January 9, 2003.

Florence D. Bogart of Kent died Jan. 5, 2003, at Providence Medical Center in Seattle. She was 89.

Born Nov. 10, 1913, in Lathrop, Mo., she married Emery L. Goodridge in 1929 in Vancouver, Wash., and Harvey Bogart in 1972 in Burien. She lived in Kent for 40 years.

A music teacher, Mrs. Bogart owned music studios in Cottage Grove, Ore., Everett, and San Jose, Calif., retiring in 1967. She played music at senior centers and lodges for 15 years and received numerous community awards for playing music at them. In 1994, she made a commercial for Payless. She was a member of Our Saviors Baptist Church in Federal Way. She enjoyed rock hounding, fishing, and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emery Goodridge in 1963 and Harvey Bogart in 1988; and son Emery Goodridge III. She is survived by her son, Harold Goodridge of Kent; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Saviors Baptist Church in Federal Way. Inurnment will be at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove, Ore.
