A reunion was held last Sunday at Memorial Park in honor of the 80th birthday of Mrs. Phoebe Bailey & of her grandson Lee Hargroves 17th birthday. The youngest member of the family group to celebrate was Vincent Bowes Jr a great grandson of Mrs. Bailey.
Mrs. Bailey was the mother of 7 children & 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bailey is the great granddaughter of Roger Sherman one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Present at the reunion were Mrs. J M Young of Clifton Springs Md sister of Mrs. Bailey & her son Oscar, Mr. & Mrs. William G Bailey of State College, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Bailey of Woolrich, Mrs. Vincent Bowes of Lock Haven, Harry Bailey of Danville, Mr. & Mrs. George Gensel, Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Eschbach of Milton, Mr. & Mrs. R D Hargrove of this city, William Kerschner of Jersey Mills & Henry Masden.
