Erected by ANDREW BENNIE, Fewar in Bathgate in memory of his parents JOHNA BENNIE and JANET GOWANS, also his wife JANET MOUNGALL who died 10th August 1848; also their children JOHN, JOHN and MARY DUNCAN who died in infancy; WALTER BENNIE died 18th February 1863; JOHN BENNIE died 4th January 1875, THOMAS BENNIE 2nd son of JOSEPH BENNIE died 3rd April 1874, JOSEPH DUNLOP BENNIE died 2nd February 1891 aged 61 years; also his wife ELLEN GRAHAM who died 7th January 1904 aged 72 years
